Prostitute stabbed by crazed client in motel room

RECIFE, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – JULY 11, 2025 28-year-old man attacked a prostitute with a knife in a motel room at the Lua de Mel motel on Rua Imperial for reasons that remain unclear. An army sergeant present at the scene detained the attacker at gunpoint. The prostitute suffered moderate stab wounds but is out of life-threatening danger. The police are treating the case as an attempted femicide (a gender-based murder).
