POLAND, 1999 A 26-year-old man killed his father with a screwdriver, attempting electrocution before decapitating him and scalping the head. He wore the scalp as a mask, impersonated his father, and had breakfast with his unsuspecting grandfather. When exposed, he fled, observed the police investigation, and was later arrested.
The crime scene showed the body crucified in underwear, with a screwdriver, shovel, and scalp nearby. The head lacked tissue, with puncture wounds from the screwdriver causing death. The perpetrator, an immigrant, despised his immoral father, inspired by a movie character. Psychiatric evaluation diagnosed him with a “borderline” schizoid personality, limiting legal responsibility under the Polish Penal Code.
