BIHAR, INDIA – NOVEMBER, 2024 A 35-year-old railway employee died after being trapped between the engine and one of the coaches of a train during the shunting operation at Barauni Junction in Bihar’s Begusarai district.
The incident took place on Saturday when Amar Kumar Raut was decoupling the engine of Lucknow-Barauni Express (Train No: 15204) after its termination at the Barauni Junction.
During the decoupling process, the train driver unexpectedly reversed the engine, resulting in Amar getting trapped. The railway official died on the spot.
