RIO BRANCO, ACRE, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 15, 2025 15-year-old girl went out with her same-aged boyfriend to the bar Liras, located on Avenida Antônio da Rocha Viana, in the Vila Nova district. They were there together drinking alcoholic beverages and enjoying a weekend night. Little did they know that the girl had fallen into the crosshairs of a sadistic rapist who was just waiting for his opportunity.
When the girl went to the empty lot next to the bar to urinate, the rapist followed her. He brutally assaulted and raped her there. He beat her face with his fists until her face was bruised. Fortunately, her screams and wails were heard by people in the bar, including her boyfriend, and they all went to help her.
The rapist was caught red-handed while penetrating her. Alcohol, the frenzy of the crowd and the sight of the ravaged girl brought out the animals in people. By the time the police arrived on the scene, they had stripped the man naked and lynched him nearly to death. They threw stones and bricks at his head, causing serious injuries.

Police identified the rapist as 26-year-old Geilson da Silva Barbosa. He was taken to hospital where he underwent basic treatment. When doctors confirmed that he was in a stable condition, he was taken straight to a pre-trial detention cell. He was charged with rape and assault with the aggravating circumstance that his victim was a minor.

One version of the police investigation is also turning against her boyfriend. He was seen by several witnesses talking to Barbosa and taking money from him moments before the assault. It is not impossible that he was involved and sold him the opportunity to rape his girlfriend.
