CONGO Two men were allegedly caught during an attempted robbery. That immediately mobilized an angry crowd around them, which punished them according to the laws of street justice. They beat them and stoned them to death and then burned their bodies (not visible in the video).
Although street justice may sometimes seem like a quick, effective, and permanent way of punishment, it is fully in conflict with human rights. Even a robber has the right to a fair trial and punishment according to the law. Not to mention that the victims of lynching often become innocent people. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, always call the police to the scene instead.
