PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – APRIL 12, 2026 In the Por Sen Chey district of the Cambodian capital, a murder took place involving a 22-year-old hair salon owner, Chun Teu. A man armed with a pistol entered her salon and shot at her. Although Chun suffered a gunshot wound in the neck area, she was still able to run for help to a neighboring salon. However, the attacker chased her, knocked her to the ground, and struck her in the head with the butt of the pistol.
Chun was transported in critical condition to the hospital, but soon sad news came – she died from her injuries. The perpetrator was captured and identified as 39-year-old Thuok Chea. It was found that he was the victim’s ex-husband, who apparently could not come to terms with their divorce.
