SOVIET UNION (UKRAINE) – 1932-1933 In the years 1932 – 1933, a huge famine hit the Ukrainian part of the USSR, nicknamed the Holodomor. It was preceded by several decisions of Joseph Stalin, which caused that there was not enough grain in the area. Some people even resorted to cannibalism at this time. The number of victims is estimated at up to 5 million. The photos show their authentic shots.
