QUIXADÁ, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – JUNE 7, 2025 Man identified as 35-year-old Glaydson Pereira Rodrigues was stabbed to death during Saturday night at a bar. As security cameras show, a man in a dark shirt approached him and began frantically stabbing him in the back area. Glaydson tried to fend off the attack, stood up, but suddenly fell to the ground and died. The incident took place at the Bahamas bar, which is located on Oscar Barbosa street.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the victim still with a knife stuck in his back. Several witnesses recognized the attacker and gave clues to the police. He was a former prisoner, 41-year-old Antônio Reginaldo Freitas Souza, but in the local community better known just as “Reginaldo.”
When police came to his house, Reginaldo initially denied ever being at the crime scene. Later, however, he confessed and was arrested on the spot for murder. During interrogation, he stated that his motive came from their previous dispute, during which he received one slap from Glaydson.
