TIELING, LIAONING, CHINA – JULY 20, 2026 Violent incident occurred in which a customer allegedly fatally attacked a watermelon vendor with a knife. According to initial information, the conflict reportedly began with an argument over the price of watermelons. However, unverified reports later appeared online claiming that there had been a personal dispute between the two men. The man who had previously purchased watermelons allegedly began a relationship with the vendor’s wife.
According to these claims, the customer later came to the vendor’s stall or shop, where he allegedly started a confrontation. During the following argument, the vendor was reportedly attacked with a knife and stabbed repeatedly. Some sources state that the victim suffered more than 50 stab wounds.
The watermelon vendor did not survive the attack and died at the scene. However, the exact circumstances of the incident, as well as the true motive behind the attack, have not been officially confirmed, and police continue to investigate the case.
