COSOLEACAQUE, VERACRUZ, MEXICO – JULY 18, 2017 Lawyer Abdias Salome Salomé, 58, and his 24-year-old niece Eila Adalid Levy Castro were executed while travelling in a car. Eila was fresh out of university and working for her uncle to get an internship. The attack targeted only Abdias and she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Although Abdias was a lawyer, he was no saint. He worked with the cartel and was convicted in August 2011 in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Minatitlán hospital gynecologist.
