The man lost his entire arm in accident. To make matters worse, his wound became infected and surgeons could not attempt to reconnect it immediately. The severed part of his arm had to be sewn to his leg and connected it to the bloodstream until the infection had healed. However, the procedure was successful and his arm was saved.
