CHINA Historical video captures the execution of an alleged Japanese spy by Chinese soldiers. They lead the man to the execution site and shoot him in the back. One of the executioners then approaches him and kicks his body.
The footage may date back to the Second Sino-Japanese War, which fully erupted in 1937 and ended in 1945 with Japan’s surrender. However, tensions between the two countries had already begun to rise earlier, particularly following Japan’s invasion of Manchuria in 1931. Japan sought to expand its control over Chinese territory, while Chinese forces fought against its expansion. During the conflict, suspected spies and other individuals accused of collaborating with the enemy were captured and executed.
