ROZDILNA DISTRICT, ODESA REGION, UKRAINE Lack of basic safety habits cost the life of a 17-year-old Ukrainian girl. She was taking a shortcut along the railway tracks while wearing headphones in her ears. As a result, she had no chance of noticing the approaching train. She was struck and suffered injuries incompatible with life.
Never take shortcuts across railway tracks and always use only official crossings. Being on the tracks is a direct risk to the most valuable thing you have – your health and your life. Also, never listen to music loudly or use headphones with noise-canceling mode when moving around a city. Hearing is one of the most important senses and can protect you from danger.
