ARA HAMA, GANDERBAL, KASHMIR, INDIA – MARCH 31, 2026 Intelligence reports about suspicious movement of individuals mobilized the army and the Jammu and Kashmir police. The search operation ended in a shootout with terrorists, during which one of them was killed.
Kashmir is a disputed territory between India, Pakistan, and partly China. All of these countries claim it at least in part and have been engaged in long-running disputes over it. Several separatist movements operate there, and armed attacks, including terrorist ones, are not uncommon.
