PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI Footage shows the tragic aftermath of a traffic accident in which one woman died and another was very seriously injured. The former had no chance of survival as she ended up crushed under the car. The second nearly had the foot on her right leg amputated. Fortunately, she received timely first aid in the form of a trouser belt as an improvised tourniquet for her wound.
Some sources say the women were traveling together on a motorcycle. Other sources state that they heard as pedestrians on the side of the road and were struck by an inattentive driver.
