INDIA Three women became trapped on the tracks while crossing them and had to hide under the platform from an approaching train. Part of the train caught one of the women’s arm and nearly tore it off. According to all available information, she later had to undergo an amputation.
The incident is a harsh reminder of the dangers of crossing railroad tracks. Always use designated crossings for this purpose. Crossing anywhere else is a gamble with the most valuable things you have – your life and health.
