KHUAN MIT, CHANA DISTRICT, SONGKHLA, THAILAND – JUNE 7, 2025 Two teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, died near Ban Khuan Mit train station when their motorcycle crossed the tracks directly in front of an oncoming train. Security cameras showed that the girls did not slow down or stop to let the train pass and attempted to cross the tracks recklessly.
The train driver tried to slow down and sounded the horn, but could not prevent the collision. The motorcycle and both girls were struck by the train and killed on the spot. The incident serves as a warning about the dangers of reckless behavior at railway crossings and underestimating the speed of oncoming trains.
