KAMPONG CHHNANG, CAMBODIA – OCTOBER 18, 2018 The two sisters, aged 7 and 14, were often left home alone because their parents spent time at work. They were partly looked after by their uncle, who brought them food and came to check on them. When he came to check on that fateful afternoon, he was confronted with a horrible sight – both girls lying dead on the floor. He immediately alerted the police.

The officers’ first suspicions fell on himself and they subjected him to a long interrogation. Eventually, however, they let him go home. The investigation next led to a neighbor. However, before the officers came to his home to get him, he came to the police station to confess the crime himself.

He gave a detailed account of the terrible things he had done to the girls. He allegedly came to rape the older sister while the younger one was sleeping. But she screamed and woke her up. The younger sister started screaming for help, so he was forced to suffocate her with a pillow. The same death awaited the elder of the sisters.
Some sources say that he also raped the younger sister posthumously. However, this information is not confirmed.
