BUENOS AIRES PROVINCE, ARGENTINA – MARCH 7, 2025 According to Spanish-language Argentine media, a bus on route 180 was following its regular route when, at the intersection of Ruta 21 and Avenida Cristianía, it collided with a truck transporting animal materials (such as bones and fat). The impact was very strong and caused injuries to dozens of people – up to 25 are being reported.
Two women died at the scene, and dozens of other passengers suffered injuries, some of them serious. One woman lost her arm in the accident, which shows the extreme force of the impact.
According to witnesses and preliminary investigations, the truck driver may have ignored traffic signals or failed to properly maneuver at the intersection, which led to a side collision with the bus. The truck driver was arrested after the accident, and the case was being investigated as negligent homicide.
