UKRAINE Brutal footage from trench fighting captures a dead Russian soldier who fell during an intense firefight. A precise gunshot hit caused devastating head injuries, leading to its almost complete destruction and exposing brain tissue.
Although the soldier is obviously dead, one of the Ukrainian soldiers shoots him in the head once more. At this moment, this may constitute a war crime. Desecration of soldiers’ remains is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions.
