UKRAINE Shocking video has begun circulating across Telegram groups that publish current events related to the war in Ukraine. It shows a Ukrainian soldier desecrating the body of his enemy. The Ukrainian soldier filmed himself urinating on the face of a Russian soldier who had been killed during the fighting.
Urinating on the body of an enemy may constitute a war crime under international humanitarian law. The Geneva Conventions and their additional protocols explicitly prohibit disrespectful treatment of the dead.
