PERM, RUSSIA – DECEMBER 5, 2009 Sparks from the pyrotechnics ignited the low ceilings inside the nightclub “Lame Horse”. The fire quickly spread, damaging the power lines and turning out the lights. The main entrance was locked and people had no idea there was an emergency exit. Over 300 people were trapped inside. Smoke quickly filled the room and oxygen was running out. 94 people died at the scene and dozens more in hospitals.
