RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – JUNE 23, 2025 In the northern part of the city, in the Colégio neighborhood within the Para Pedro community, a 34-year-old woman was murdered. Suelen Souza Leite was caught off guard in her home by her ex-husband, who refused to accept the end of their relationship. He broke into her house, and after a loud argument, he stabbed her to death.

Neighbors vividly described desperate cries for help coming from her home. They called the police, but before authorities arrived, the attacker fled the scene. Police reportedly know his identity and are currently conducting an intensive manhunt.
Some sources say the main motive behind the murder was jealousy. He could not bear the fact that she was involved in a sexual relationship with someone else.
