SANTA TECLA, EL SALVADOR – NOVEMBER, 2025 At the intersection of 1st Southeast Avenue and 4th East Street in downtown, a fatal collision occurred between a city bus and a pedestrian. The driver of bus line 205 failed to pay sufficient attention while driving and struck a woman attempting to cross at a crosswalk.
The bus ran over her lower body, crushing it completely. She remained alive briefly but was pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency services.
The bus driver, identified as 35-year-old Wilber Alexander M., was arrested at the scene and charged with negligent homicide. Records show he previously had an offense for reckless driving.
