BARRANQUILLA, ATLÁNTICO, COLOMBIA – JULY 22, 2025 Civil engineer, 38-year-old Sneider Yesid González Calderón, fell from the 11th floor of a building while working on a balcony repair. He was likely working alone and did not use any safety equipment. Witnesses said that strong gusts of wind may have caused the accident, making him lose his balance and fall onto a public road.
Unfortunately, he did not survive the fall and died. His death brought a wave of grief to the city. González was a well-known public figure, as he led the company Multimuebles Modernos and founded the Razones Pa’ Vivir foundation, which helps children living in extreme poverty. He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
