SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – MARCH 1, 2025 In a hotel in the city center of São Paulo, in the Consolação district, a violent attack took place in which a young employee attempted to kill his colleague.
According to available information, 19-year-old Ubiraci Henrique Rodrigues de Lira suddenly attacked a 26-year-old co-worker during a shift at the reception desk and stabbed him with a knife. The attack happened directly in the reception area, where both men were present during normal working operations.
The victim tried to defend himself, and a struggle broke out during which he suffered multiple stab wounds. Despite the victim’s resistance, the attack continued until the situation was brought under control. The perpetrator was subsequently arrested at the scene by police.
The motive for the attack has not been clearly confirmed, but the investigation is considering the possibility of a personal conflict between co-workers or a sudden escalation of a workplace argument. Police treated the case as attempted murder.
