DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – MAY, 2020 Julio César Palmero, 17, took part in a friendly street boxing match. He was knocked out and when he fell to the ground, he hit his head. He died on the way to the hospital. It’s safe to say he died for the equivalent of five dollars bet on him.
Interestingly, the video became damning evidence on all onlookers. The incident actually took place during the covid 19 pandemic when the Dominican government imposed a curfew after 5pm.
