RIVER RIDGE, LOUISIANA, USA – FEBRUARY 18, 2006 Tragic accident occurred in which 21-year-old motorcyclist Ricky Lee Villers died. The young man was riding a Suzuki sport motorcycle at a very high speed in the early morning hours when he apparently lost control and went off the roadway.
According to available information, at around 2:20 a.m. he was traveling at approximately 120 mph (193 kph) and then crashed directly into a Taco Bell restaurant building, which was closed at the time. The motorcycle was completely destroyed in the impact, and the rider himself was thrown dozens of feet away, passing through part of the structure before landing in the parking lot.
The tragedy was reportedly made even worse by the fact that Ricky was not wearing any protective gear, not even a helmet. The crash resulted in instant death and serves as yet another warning about the extreme danger of riding at high speeds.
