COMPENSA, MANAUS, BRAZIL – JUNE 6, 2022 A woman identified as Déborah Thaís Pereira de Souza decided to take her own life and jumped from a bridge into the Rio Negro River. Before her death, the woman left a lot of farewell letters, in which she mentioned her mother and her friends. She also stated that she had depression from the loss of her father. In the attached letter to her mother, she literally wrote: “Dear Mom, I’m better now. I’ve always been clueless, but it’s not your fault. I’ll be with Dad now.”
If you’re thinking about suicide, please stop and recognize that your pain is not permanent, but this step would be. It may feel like there’s no other way, but there is hope, even if it’s hard to see right now. Your feelings are temporary, and with help, they can pass.
