ITAPETINGA, BRAZIL – MARCH 8, 2011 Catiane Santos Silva, 22, was a married mother of two children aged 3 and 6. Yet she maintained an amorous relationship with a teenager named “Erinho”. Fearing that her husband would find out about this relationship, she decided to end the relationship with the teenager. But he was adamant and pressed her. So she called his girlfriend and told her everything. This angered the teenager so much that he started threatening her with death.
He started stalking her and following her. When she and her two daughters went to visit a friend on Rua Lunolândia Street, he followed her and broke into the dwelling. There he fired five shots at her with a .38 revolver.
Her friend’s family gave her first aid, but Catione died while being taken to the hospital. Police managed to track down the shooter and arrest him. He was found to be a very dangerous person – the nephew of a drug cartel boss known as “Néo Bagulho”. He was allegedly responsible for at least two other murders in the city.
