IVOLGINSK, RUSSIA – JANUARY, 2020 17-year-old Galina Burchevskaya (Галина Бурчевская) was hit by a Jeep driven by local mayor Bair Zhambalov (Баира Жамбалова). The exact circumstances of the accident are not known. The father of the deceased girl, Maxim Burchevsky (Максим Бурчевский), sued the mayor in court for damages in the amount of 10 million rubles ($161,000 according to the exchange rate in January 2020).
