MANAUS, BRAZIL – MAY 16, 2024 Maria Eduarda da Silva Camarão, 17, was attacked and strangled on Rua Maria Vitória in the Jorge Teixeira neighbourhood. The perpetrator is her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend Marcos Pinheiro dos Reis. Some sources say he was her ex-husband.

As it turned out, Marcos stalked her to try to reconcile with her. But she refused him and an argument ensued. This made him mad and he impulsively decided to kill her.
