SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – MARCH 8, 2015 Nicole Valdez, 17, a student at Don Bosco High School, found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was standing in a group of people that included a gangster target. Gangsters opened a frenzied drive-by shooting and, along with their target, shot Nicole and another woman. She fell to the ground dead on the spot and was beyond help.
