BRANDON, FLORIDA, USA – NOVEMBER 2, 2025 Police were called to a shocking family incident in which 27-year-old Mario Camacho barricaded himself in a room with his 7-year-old brother, holding him hostage and threatening him with a knife. When deputies from the sheriff’s office arrived, the situation escalated.
Bodycam footage from Hillsborough County Deputy 25-year-old Antonio Gonzalez captured the moment when the officer kicked down the door. The suspect was holding a knife to his younger brother’s throat, wearing a motorcycle helmet and a bulletproof vest.
Camacho refused to obey police commands to drop the knife. Given the danger of the situation, Officer Gonzalez was forced to use his service weapon. He shot the suspect directly in the head, killing him and very likely saving the life of the 7-year-old boy.
