BANÍ, PERAVIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – DECEMBER, 2025 Mentally disabled man was fatally stabbed during a confused altercation on Padre Street, across from the small La Avenida park. According to all available information, he provoked the conflict by physically attacking a random passerby. A family member of the attacked, who witnessed the attack, intervened with a knife and stabbed him several times in the abdomen. After a few moments, he collapsed to the ground and was pronounced dead upon the arrival of paramedics. Police are currently investigating whether the intensity of the attack was justified as self-defense.
