FEIRA DE SANTANA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 28, 2026 55-year-old Rogério Brandão Fernandes was shot dead directly on Lopes Rodrigues Street, near the local hospital. The entire incident was captured by security cameras, the footage of which is now available to the police.
According to the footage, the victim, wearing a T-shirt in the colors of the Brazilian flag, was calmly walking through the neighborhood when a dark car suddenly pulled up next to him. Two masked men jumped out of the vehicle and opened fire. Rogério was hit by several shots to the chest and head, to which he succumbed immediately on the spot. The attackers vanished in the car flash-fast after the crime.
The Civil Police have already launched an investigation, and the body was transported for an autopsy. Criminologists are now focusing on identifying the vehicle and searching for the motives of this cold-blooded attack, which bears clear signs of a planned execution.
