DHAKA, BANGLADESH – MAY, 2026 In one of the apartments of a residential building in Mirpur district, the dead body of 8-year-old Ramisa was found. She was immediately identified by neighbors because she lived in the same building. Ramisa was lying headless on the floor, with her head found in a bucket of water.

The main suspect is a man from the neighborhood who allegedly lured the girl into his apartment, attacked her, raped her, and then dismembered her in an attempt to destroy evidence. The body was discovered after the mother noticed her disappearance and alerted neighbors to suspicious circumstances around the apartment where she was eventually found.
