TRAI DIEN VILLAGE, HOP LY COMMUNE, PHU THO PROVINCE, VIETNAM – JUNE 22, 2026 Two young girls riding an electric bike were unable to adequately respond to the traffic situation in front of them. When they saw a stationary truck, their lack of driving experience did not suggest to them that it might start reversing, and they stopped directly behind it in the driver’s blind spot. When the truck did indeed start reversing, it hit them, ran them over, and killed them at the scene.
The incident is a harsh reminder for all parents. Only allow children to do what they have enough experience and sufficient mental maturity for. Letting them enter traffic alone can be a gamble with their lives and death.
