SAINT CATHERINE, JAMAICA – JULY 17, 2026 Woman died after she allegedly jumped from a moving vehicle on the PJ Patterson Highway in Jamaica’s Saint Catherine area, according to police. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Donique Thomas.
Thomas was traveling as a passenger in a 1997 Honda Civic driven by a man. According to police, an argument broke out between them while they were driving. The woman then opened the vehicle door and jumped out of the moving car.
After falling onto the road, she was struck by another vehicle traveling behind the car. According to police, the driver of the second vehicle did not stop and fled the scene. Investigators are now searching for his identity.
Police in Saint Catherine continue to investigate the case. Further details about the circumstances of the argument or the reason why the woman jumped from the moving vehicle have not yet been released.
