Papuan separatists murdered two civilians

PAPUA, INDONESIA Papuan separatists released a video showing two dead men whom they had apparently executed shortly beforehand. They celebrate their deaths with chants and by displaying the flag of the unrecognized “Republic of West Papua,” for whose independence from Indonesia they are fighting. The victims were reportedly civilians. Although armed separatist groups operating in the region, such as the TPNPB, claim that civilians are not their targets, they have demonstrably been responsible for the deaths of many of them.
