TRUJILLO, PERU – FEBRUARY 17, 2024 Soledad Maribel Rosas Meregildo, 48, a mother of two, went out with a group of friends to a nightclub on February 11. She found a companion with whom she drank alcohol and left in a taxi. She never returned home. Her eldest son reported her missing to the police.
An intensive search led police to 33-year-old Henry Chuica Contreras. When police searched his home, they found a barrel. Soledad’s body was stuffed inside. It was dismembered and partially burned. He probably tried various ways to dispose of the body efficiently.
Henry was immediately arrested and taken to the detention center. He is now awaiting the end of the investigation before he is finally sentenced. Police believe two other men were involved in the murder.
