TABASCO, MEXICO – NOVEMBER, 2024 Putrid-smelling plastic bag was found dumped by the roadside on the highway between Comalcalco and Paraíso. Inside were the dismembered remains of a woman in the first stages of decomposition. The victim was wearing a distinctive tattoo with satanic motifs, which later contributed to her easy identification.
She was identified as 21-year-old Perla Analí Córdova from the community of Tecolutilla, which belongs to the Comalcalco municipality. She was already registered as missing at the time the body was found. Her family describes her as a cheerful girl who loved life.
The discovery of her remains has left all residents in the area in shock and has sparked discussions about the deteriorating security situation. Although the case is still under investigation, all clues point to a drug cartel.
