LIMA, PERU The remains of a dismembered woman have been found on a beach in the Peruvian capital. The severed head, arms, legs and torso with an open abdomen were washed up there by the sea. Experts estimated she had been dead no more than 48 hours.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Heidi. A 35-year-old man who was her ex-lover has been arrested in connection with the incident. He confessed to strangling her to death, dismembering her and throwing her into the sea. He thought her remains would be eaten by fish.
