RAMLA, ISRAEL – MAY 27, 2025 Devastating accident occurred in Ramla’s industrial area when a man lost his life after a tire exploded while he was working. The victim, 35-year-old Mohammed Ismail al-‘Abra, was reportedly attempting to repair a bus tire when the tragic incident happened.
Emergency services, including medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA), rushed to the scene following the report. Upon arrival, they found the man lying unresponsive, with severe head trauma and no vital signs. Despite efforts to assess and assist, there was nothing that could be done – he was declared dead at the scene.
Yissachar Weiss, a paramedic from the MDA’s motorcycle response team, described the scene: “He was unconscious, not breathing, and had no pulse. The injuries, especially to his head, were extremely severe. Sadly, we had to pronounce him deceased on-site.”
Elchanan Roth, a senior EMT with United Hatzalah, also responded to the emergency. “When I got to the location, the worker, approximately 36 years old, was already beyond help,” he said. “He had suffered a critical head injury from the explosion. Unfortunately, the damage was irreversible.”
Mohammed Ismail al-‘Abra, a resident of Ramla, was identified as the deceased. The tragic event highlights the serious risks workers face in industrial environments and underscores the importance of stringent safety measures.
