A man was bitten on his arm by a rattlesnake. Although he was given an antidote and was beyond life threatment, doctors had to fight for a long time to save his arm. He underwent several operations. Doctors first had to remove the necrotic tissue. His arm then had to be left open to prevent pressure building up inside and make it easier to cleanse the tissues. After about a month, surgery was performed to regrow the skin. It took a long 22 months for the arm to heal completely (last photo).
