Assassination of supermarket security guard

FEIRA DE SANTANA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – AUGUST 5, 2024 Supermarket clerk on Antônio Carlos Magalhães Street, in the Parque Ipê district, 38-year-old Rodrigo Silva Rodrigues was assassinated by a gunman in front of the store’s security camera. Two gunmen on a motorcycle arrived at the scene and one of them made his way towards Rodrigo with a firearm pointed at him. At first Rodrigo thought it was a store robbery, so he gave up. But the attackers’ motive was personal. After he murdered Rodrigo in cold blood, he got on his motorcycle and left the scene. .40 caliber shell casings were found at the scene, but police have no other leads.
