Bloody break-up in Colombia

BUCARAMANGA, SANTANDER, COLOMBIA – JANUARY 2, 2024 Despair and intense emotions over a breakup with 39-year-old Venezuelan immigrant Estefany Pulido lead 59-year-old José Aníbal Melgarejo to murder her.

The incident took place at a motel in Bucaramanga. He brutally stabbed her 30 times in the back, arms and chest right under the camera. Although there are several witnesses at the scene, none of them intervene against the attacker. Only one of them decides to call the police to the scene.

When the woman is about to die, José realises what he has just done and repeats several times “I didn’t mean to hurt her”. However, it was too late; Estefana’s wife died from her injuries. After her death, his cold-heartedness reappeared. He left the scene and said, “I’m going home, don’t call an ambulance because she doesn’t need one anymore.”
