PEDERNALES, ECUADOR – SEPTEMBER 3, 2023 The driver of the pick-up, who was carrying several people on the back, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a building at high speed. The force of the impact literally threw three people out, who were left lying seriously injured on the ground unconscious.
Even those who did not fly out did not escape injury. One injured his head and fell unconscious. Others broke bones.
The impact was filmed by several cameras from different angles. The video went viral on social media. One witness to the accident said he saw a pedestrian throw an object under the car.
