CARAUARI, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – JULY 31, 2023 Police have arrested a suspect, 27-year-old Jhefferson da Silva, for the murder of his 37-year-old girlfriend, Andreia Feitas de Oliviera. Her body was found lifeless with her throat slit. The killer even tried to set her body on fire.

After the murder, Jhefferson fled the scene, but the police soon managed to track him down. He confessed to the murder. He stated that the two of them drank alcoholic beverages together and started arguing. This quarrel resulted in her murder. Local residents said Jhefferson is known in the area for a promiscuous lifestyle that includes alcohol, violence and theft.
