DIYALA, IRAQ – NOVEMBER 3, 2007 Video shows the execution of Police Colonel Abbas Ibrahim Wasmi by the Salafi Army of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq terrorist organization. He was one of 564 members of the army and police who were kidnapped by this organisation. While some were subjected to interrogation and released, others, incl. Abbas, were held captive or executed.
This terrorist organization was formed in response to the U.S. military presence in Iraq and later merged with the infamous ISIS. They were very active for their time in publishing videos. Some sources report that they published up to 100 videos documenting their operations, including the execution of prisoners.
